One of New Zealand’s top show jumping riders and trainers, Vicki Wilson is no stranger to the spotlight. Riding since childhood, she’s claimed more awards at the New Zealand Horse of the Year show than any other rider. A passionate advocate for equine welfare, she travels the world educating audiences about training and equine bodywork, and dazzling audiences with her bareback stunts.
Vicki’s work starting horses from all different backgrounds earned her a spot in 2017’s Road to the Horse (RTTH). The RTTH is an exciting three-day colt starting competition that follows top-level trainers as they train an untouched 3-year-old to saddle. Vicki’s connection with young Kentucky, a roan Quarter Horse, impressed the judges who awarded them the top score of the competition!
